Kanji Cruncher: Grade 1, Lesson 15

Happy Tuesday, everyone! We're so close to the end. Aren't you excited? Let's crunch today's kanji!

右 左 休 虫 夕

Today two of the kanji we're learning about are "left" and "right." They look pretty similar, so try to remember them as a pair!


Meaning: right
She covered her mouth with her right hand.

     Radical:
     口


Meaning: left
He grabbed onto the I-beam with his left hand.

     Radical:
     工 craft, work



Meaning: rest
When a person leans against a tree, they're resting.

     Radicals:
     亻person
     木 tree


Meaning: insect
To me, this kanji looks like a dragonfly balancing on the tip of his tail high on a tree branch.



Meaning: evening
My dog likes to go out for his walk in the evening.
