Kanji Cruncher: JLPT N5 Kanji - Lesson 6/60

Hello again! Today we're going to focusing our training on a brand-new kanji, so station yourself in your favorite spot and enjoy the ride(Oh, Kitty. These puns are getting out of hand...)

Today's Kanji

Let's go! 行きましょう!

Kanji

Meaning: Station

Word Picture

This kanji looks like an overhead view of a train pulling into the station! See the little train on the tracks in the upper right, and the station to the left? Hey, there are even four people in line for the train near the bottom left corner!

Examples
On Reading Word:
駅前 (えきまえ)
In front of the station

Example Sentence:
駅前で会いましょう。
(えきまえ で あいましょう。)
Let's meet in front of the station.

Another On Reading Word:
駅員 (えきいん)
Station worker

Example Sentence
駅員さんに聞いてみます。
(えきいんさん に きいてみます。)
I will ask the station worker.

Great job! I hear there are a lot of train stations in Japan. You'll need to know these words if you go visit someday!

またね!
-Kitty
