Kanji Cruncher: JLPT N5 - Lesson 1/60

Hello, friends! I'm finally back with a brand-new lesson of Kanji Cruncher. This time we're taking a different approach and devoting one post to each kanji so we can learn more about each character.

In each lesson, we'll learn one kanji and two vocabulary words that use the kanji- one that uses the On reading, and one that uses the Kun reading.

We're also going to be learning them as they appear in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or JLPT for short. There are five levels of the JLPT, and in the most basic level, N5, there are 60 kanji.

Let's get started!

Today's Kanji:

行きましょう!
Kanji

Meaning: peace, safety, cheap

Parts:
宀 roof
女 woman

Word Picture
A woman deserves to feel at peace under her own roof.
