Saturday Song: とっとこハム太郎 (Hamtaro) Theme Song - Part Three

It's Hamtaro time– again! The past two Saturdays we've been learning parts of the Japanese Hamtaro theme song, and now it's time for the third and final installment.

This might just be the easiest lesson yet. We've already learned most of the words, so there only two new ones!

Just like we've done the past two weeks, let's listen to the part of the song we're going to be learning. If you like, you can fast-forward to the 1-minute mark and watch it through to the end.

Now let's break down the vocabulary!

Here's the first line:

とっとこ ねむる よ ハム太郎

ねむる: to sleep

This like likely means something like "Trotting, sleeping, Hamtaro."

And the second line:

どこでも ねむる よ ハム太郎

どこでも: anywhere

This line says "Sleeping anywhere, Hamtaro."

Now for the third line:

だいすきなのは ヒマワリのタネ

We should know this one by heart by now! It says, "I love sunflower seeds!"

And the very last line:

やっぱり ねむる よ ハム太郎

No new words here, either!

"After all, we are sleeping, Hamtaro." What a sweet ending!
